“Keep it Real” is the Real Lesson From Beijing
With all the fuss over the CGI fireworks and the lip-synching Chinese cherub at the start of the Beijing Olympics I think London 2012 needs to take away one important PR lesson: Keep it Real. The fact that China leads the medal table by a country mile is tainted by the two PR gaffes that everyone will remember the games for. For London 2012 how about we rename the events to make a real proper Cockney Games. Maybe the hurdles could be the 110 Metre Knees Up? They could chuck Geoff Hurst around in the “Hammers” Throwing and maybe give us northerners a chance to shine in the Cockneyless Fours.
